2017 Kickoff / / Rise & Shine
Following Fathom’s best year ever in 2016, the team has set its sights even higher for the new year. Fathom’s 2017 motto is Rise and Shine, encouraging Fathomers to bring their wisdom and strength to our many customer projects each day. With an evolving group, growing capabilities and consistently extending global manufacturing reach, we are confident that 2017 will be a significant year for pushing the limits of manufacturing.
The 2017 Fathom Kick-off
To reconnect and reflect with each other after such a busy year, Fathomers participated in an annual two-day kick-off celebration to set our intentions for 2017. The team reviewed results and highlights of 2016, discussed goals for 2017, participated in team building activities and listened to inspiring words from guest speakers.
After a full day of business focus, Fathomers whisked off to a Top Chef kitchen venue that had hosted numerous TV shows and famous chefs from around the world. The group split up into five teams to create 15 different dishes off a pre-fixed menu. Then, the competition began! A quickfire round took place, judged by the kitchens head chef with Fathom Co-Founders Rich Stump and Michelle Mihvec.
The competitive dinner challenge was a perfect place to build team communication, cross-departmental collaboration and put new team members to the test. Feeling well-fed and grateful, the team moved into the next day of meetings with custom aprons and a greater commitment to culinary exploration. By the end of the two-day celebration, all agreed were ready to Rise & Shine in 2017!
Annual Fathom Award Ceremony
Each year the creative minds on the design and engineering team make unique trophies for the employee nominated award ceremony.
This years design features a hybrid approach of multiple technologies, blending PolyJet multi-material parts with custom cut metal bases—stay tuned, a blog interview on the creation of these awards will be posted soon!
